Waking up on the morning of the US election, my group chats buzzed with messages of excitement and hope. Yet, nestled between each enthusiastic text was the unspoken question no one dared voice: What if it doesn’t go our way?

Everyone I knew seemed certain of the outcome. Kamala had to win. “There’s no way he can be re-elected.” “He stormed the Capitol.” “Surely millions of Americans can see through him.” But no one spoke about the unthinkable—how life would feel if she lost.

Perhaps it was naivety, a by-product of our age, but my generation was more concerned about the aftermath of her victory. How would Trump supporters react? Would they claim the election was stolen again? These were the worries dominating our minds. Reflecting on those days, though, I realise we actively chose to hold onto that optimism.

As Gen Zers we have a remarkable, unifying quality—a steadfast belief in right and wrong. It’s what gives us the courage to confront injustice when we see it and the empathy to stand with strangers whose struggles we’ve never personally faced. But this same clarity of conviction also leads us to assume others must see things our way.

Joining AMP Collective, I aim to be a prominent voice that embodies this spirit. As a young creative and activist, I sincerely carry the weight of my generation’s hopes, my political stance, and through actions within AMP platforms I will strive to raise awayness and push out points of you that need a voice.

My perspective reflects Gen Z’s determination to turn their frustration with global chaos into a call for systemic change. For me, right and wrong aren’t just abstract ideas—they’re blueprints for a better world.

I’d like to say Trump’s re-election shocked me, but it didn’t—not really. My generation has become accustomed to the idea that things can, and often do, go wrong. Every day, we see the world splinter further on the news, in books, and even in our communities. Yet somehow, we remain anchored to this hopeful notion that right will ultimately triumph.

Perhaps that’s the legacy of a childhood punctuated by fairy tales and happy endings—a narrative we clung to until reality forced a pause. Brexit, Roe v. Wade, the soaring cost of living—these are our first encounters with global political, social, and economic upheaval. We’ve never lived through much turmoil, let alone this much at once, so we fall back on the only certainty we’ve been taught: it will all be okay in the end.

Even as I write these words, that belief brings me comfort. It’s no surprise, then, that I see the same resilience in my peers. From classrooms to social media, Gen Z is brimming with bold voices striving to educate not only their friends but often their parents, too.

My work at AMP, is part of this movement. I represents a new wave of creative leadership that doesn’t shy away from hard truths but rather uses them as fuel to spark change. My activism, study of medicine, are woven into the very fabric of my identity. For me, the AMP collective’s platform is more than a creative outlet—it’s a way to amplify my generation’s ideals, a way to push forward a narrative of equity, sustainability, and inclusion.

AMP share's my conviction: the key to addressing the dissonance plaguing our world lies in educational social media. My generation has grown up with platforms—tools we see as both a privilege and a responsibility—and at AMP we’re learning to use them to champion justice, equality, and understanding- with successes and lessons along the way."

As 2025 breaks, I’ve resolved to amplify my voice. My intentions are sincere, my generation’s fight is young, and it’s the only way I know to push forward. Right and wrong may seem like simple terms, but for us, they are the foundations of hope—and hope is the force that keeps us fighting.

As the Managing Director of AMP Agency, I’d like to conclude, I recognise that incidents like the unfortunate experience with an artist and the subsequent social media trolling in 2024 provide invaluable learning opportunities. Navigating the relentless demand for insight and authenticity from Gen Z has been both challenging and eye-opening. With Mila, our Gen Z activist, now part of the team, I’m optimistic about embracing a bolder and more courageous approach to using our platforms effectively.

My generation—the noughties—approached life and challenges from a completely different perspective, shaped by the cultural and technological landscape of our time. However, times have changed, and so must we. With Mila's guidance and the insights she brings, I look forward to evolving alongside this new wave of humanity, ensuring our agency stays relevant, daring, and impactful in the ever-changing social media space. Together, I believe we can bridge generational gaps and create a lasting, meaningful connection with our audiences.
